BehindMLM reviewed RegenaLife back in 2017. Today that MLM company no longer exists.

A visit to RegenaLife’s previous website domain now redirects to RegenaLife Marketplace.

RegenaLife Marketplace is hosted on the domain (“regenalifemarket.com”), privately registered on July 22nd, 2024.

RegenaLife Marketplace fails to provide ownership or executive information on its website.

RegenaLife was founded in 2008 as “Regeneration USA” by Justin Chernalis. Regeneration USA changed its name to RegenaLife in 2016.

Back in 2017 RegenaLife was headed up by CEO Ernie Cadiz (right).

A March 2020 press-release still cited Cadiz as RegenaLife’s CEO. Today there’s no mention of RegenaLife or RegenaLife Marketplace on Cadiz’s LinkedIn profile or FaceBook account.

If Cadiz is no longer involved, who is running RegenaLife Marketplace is unclear.

As always, if an MLM company is not openly upfront about who is running or owns it, think long and hard about joining and/or handing over any money.

RegenaLife’s Products

RegenaLife’s supplements have shifted over to RegenaLife Marketplace, a generic-looking ecommerce platform:

In addition to RegenaLife’s supplements, RegenaLife Marketplace also features seemingly random products:

The products are sourced through Shopify’s “shop.app” platform:

In fact the entire RegenaLife Marketplace platform is hosted on Shopify.

RegenaLife Marketplace’s Compensation Plan

RegenaLife Marketplace’s compensation plan pays on the sale of products to retail customers and recruited affiliates.

RegenaLife Marketplace compensation documentation states that commissions are “calculated on dollars”.

Referral Commissions

RegenaLife Marketplace pays up to 35% on sales to personally referred retail customers and recruited affiliates.

Specific referral commission rates are determined by how much a RegenaLife Marketplace affiliate pays in fees:

  • sign up for free and receive a 10% referral commission rate
  • sign up for $4.95 a month and receive a 20% referral commission rate
  • sign up for $9.95 a month and receive a 25% referral commission rate
  • sign up for $14.95 a month and receive a 30% referral commission rate
  • sign up for $99 a month and receive a 35% referral commission rate

Residual Commissions

RegenaLife Marketplace pays residual commissions via a unilevel compensation structure.

A unilevel compensation structure places an affiliate at the top of a unilevel team, with every personally recruited affiliate placed directly under them (level 1):

If any level 1 affiliates recruit new affiliates, they are placed on level 2 of the original affiliate’s unilevel team.

If any level 2 affiliates recruit new affiliates, they are placed on level 3 and so on and so forth down a theoretical infinite number of levels.

RegenaLife Marketplace caps payable unilevel team levels at nine.

Residual commissions are paid as a percentage of sales volume generated across these nine levels as follows:

  • level 1 (personally recruited affiliates) – refer to “referral commissions” above
  • levels 2 and 3 – 2.5% to 5%
  • levels 4 to 9 – 2.5%

Note that for levels 2 and 3, RegenaLife Marketplace’s compensation plan states the exact percentage paid out depends “on the membership level selected”.

Specific residual commission rates per affiliate membership tier aren’t provided.

Finally RegenaLife Marketplace’s compensation documentation specifies the following additional qualification criteria:

You Earn Commissions on all 9 Levels as long as you are subscribed to one of the 3 membership plans and have a $25 minimum monthly product/customer order and of course sponsor at least 1 affiliate.

Sales Volume Bonus

RegenaLife Marketplace rewards affiliates for hitting monthly sales volume targets as follows:

  • generate $500 in monthly sales and receive $50
  • generate $2500 in monthly sales and receive $250
  • generate $5000 in monthly sales and receive $500
  • generate $10,000 in monthly sales and receive $1000
  • generate $15,000 in monthly sales and receive $1500
  • generate $20,000 in monthly sales and receive $2000
  • generate $30,000 in monthly sales and receive $3000
  • generate $40,000 in monthly sales and receive $4000
  • generate $50,000 in monthly sales and receive $5000
  • generate $60,000 in monthly sales and receive $6000
  • generate $70,000 in monthly sales and receive $7000
  • generate $80,000 in monthly sales and receive $8000
  • generate $90,000 in monthly sales and receive $9000
  • generate $100,000 in monthly sales and receive $10,000

Note RegenaLife Marketplace’s compensation documentation states the above rates are for the $14.95 a month affiliate membership tier.

Alternative Sales Volume Bonus rates are not disclosed.

The more a RegenaLife affiliate pays in monthly fees the higher their income potential.

RegenaLife Marketplace Conclusion

RegenaLife Marketplace is still an MLM company but it’s pretty different to what BehindMLM reviewed back in 2017.

RegenaLife Marketplace is pretty much what you set up when you don’t want to run an MLM company anymore. Everything is pretty much on autopilot, save the odd support ticket.

That’s fine procedurally but does come across as low-effort. Unless you really wanted access to RegenaLife’s supplements, there’s nothing else unique on offer.

Even then it’s possible RegenaLife’s supplements might be able through Shopify’s network on other third-party branded ecommerce platforms.

On the MLM side of things RegenaLife Marketplace is obvious pay-to-play. This is a strong indication of a pyramid scheme and could tie into the $25 minimum monthly order.

Technically that could be a retail sale but if the majority of sales are what’s left of RengaLife affiliates purchasing $25 or more of RengaLife supplements each month – that’s a problem.

Thankfully the monthly membership fees aren’t commissionable – but that raises two questions:

  1. Why do they exist? and
  2. Where does the money go?

RegenaLife Marketplace is setup on a third-party platform. The majority of products sold are from third-parties, and RegenaLife’s own supplements are sold as they would be on any other platform.

We now have over 500 products to earn commissions on.  We continue to add more products every week.

Why are RegenaLife Marketplace affiliate being charged anything?

The answer probably ties into question two’s answer.

Other than profiting whoever owns it (this non-disclosure alone is a red flag), I’m left wondering why RegenaLife Marketplace exists as an MLM company to begin with.
